Between Beznar Lake and the Zaza Valley is the 19,000m2 site of El Cerrajon. The plot overlooks the dam and the lake to the north, over hills and valleys to the south and to the Sierra Nevada to the east. It has terraced olive groves below the house site and above, presently covered with rosemary, thyme and other local plans, the upper part of the plot has permission for a well while the lower plot already has water rights from an acequia.
Planning permission has been given for a 90m2 construction and the work has begun, with a lower floor, built into the hillside, already constructed. On the lower terraces there is a small agricultural building, again with fantastic views, which is great for just sitting in front of and watching the world go by. Five minutes’ drive from Pinos del Valle and it’s shops and bars, yet with a feeling of being in the middle of the countryside, El Cerrajon offers the best of both worlds.
